What to do on-site at the 2014 RBC Canadian Open


Montreal, Que. (Golf Canada) – Recognized by the PGA TOUR as the ‘Most Fan-Friendly Event’ of 2013, this year’s edition of Canada National Open Championship will offer something for everyone onsite at The Royal Montreal Golf Club in Île-Bizard, Que.

From spectators and parents looking to enjoy family fun golf activities to the hardcore golf enthusiast planning to cheer on the stars of the PGA TOUR, the 2014 RBC Canadian Open offers more than 30 fan activities happening on-site during championship week.

Children 17-and-under get in free
Nothing inspires children to take up the game more than experiencing the world’s best golfers up close and personal. Golf Canada and RBC are proud to offer all children aged 17 and under free admission all week, Monday-Sunday at the RBC Canadian Open when accompanied by a ticketed adult.

Join the conversation. Take part in the #RBCGolf4Kids  charity challenge  where Team RBC golfers and the public engage in a fun online challenge using social media,  benefiting children’s charities around the world.  Help your favourite Team RBC player move ahead in the virtual leaderboard by sharing the golfer's unique hashtag on Twitter, Instagram or at

RBC Avion Putting Challenge
 Avioners can do that! Present your card at the RBC Avion Check-In Desk located at the main spectator admissions to receive your branded lanyard which will provide access into the RBC Avion VIP Lounge @ 16 and front of line access at the RBC Avion Putting Challenge. Don't have an Avion card? Visit the RBC Avion Putting Challenge to win a VIP trip for 2 to the 2015 RBC Canadian Open.

RBC Fan Experience
Visit the RBC Fan Experience located between holes 1 & 18 where you can take home a FREE customized issue of Golf Canada magazine starring YOU on the cover. Take part in the digital trivia challenge to win a signed Team RBC golf bag.

Global Montreal News Anchor Experience
Congratulations! You are Global Montreal’s latest edition to the news desk. Experience what it’s like to be a news anchor by interviewing Canada’s own PGA TOUR star Graham DeLaet.

TaylorMade adidas Golf
Visit the spectator practice range adjacent to the PGA TOUR player range to get yourself warmed up. Spectators can try on the latest adidas Golf footwear and test TaylorMade and Adams equipment on the range.

CN Future Links Community Tour
Participants can engage in a friendly, golf based adventure where they can try out their putting, chipping and driving skills while learning about the values of golf and the importance of rail safety. Visit the CN Future Links Community Tour located near the merchandise tent at the main spectator entrance.

Visit the BMW Hole-in-One Fan Challenge located adjacent to the 13th hole to shoot for your own chance at winning a new BMW M235i. Stick around and watch PGA TOUR pros shoot for a hole-in-one as the first professional to ace the 13th hole between Thursday and Sunday of the championship will win BMW 435i.

Family Day is Saturday,  July 26th
New this year, Saturday, July 26th will feature a custom ticket package for families. The day will include specially priced grounds passes that provide access to dedicated fan areas, kids’ golf activities and more.

Get your picture with the RBC Canadian Open trophy and the 1904 Olympic Golf trophy
Stop by the Golf Canada tent within the Molson Canadian 67 Beer garden to have your picture taken with the RBC Canadian Open trophy or the historic Olympic trophy won by Canadian George S. Lyon at the 1904 Olympics – the last time golf was in the Olympics until it makes it return in 2016.

Supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities Canada
Ronald McDonald House Children’s Charity is proud to be the charitable benefactor of the 2014 RBC Canadian Open. Watch for RMHC Brand Ambassadors, especially on holes 16 and 18 and make a suggested donation of $5.00 to enjoy priority bleacher seating (first come basis). Special spotters will randomly award fun prizes to golf fans wearing the RMHC donation sticker!  We will also be serving free sample size McDonald’s Fruit Smoothies - and you just may catch sight of Ronald McDonald too!  Still thirsty!? Stay hydrated with a refillable RBC water bottle, sold on site for $5.00 to benefit RMHC. And finally, your spare change can influence great change so please toss your loose coins in an RMHC coin collection box, available throughout the site.

The 105th playing of Canada’s National Open Championship is only days away with a field of PGA TOUR stars that includes Matt Kuchar, Luke Donald, Dustin Johnson, Charl Swartzel, Graeme McDowell, Ernie Els, Hunter Mahan and defending champion Brandt Snedeker as well as Canadian notables Graham DeLaet, David Hearn, Mike Weir, Stephen Ames and Brad Fritsch.

The final field of competitors for the 2014 RBC Canadian Open will be release after 5:00pm ET on Friday, July 18th.

Grounds tickets for all days of Canada’s National Open Championship as well as a limited number of premium ticket packages are still available.
